And when you go to Settings > Battery and look at the list of things which have used power, what does it show is using the most charge? If you're not getting good battery life, something is running you may not be aware is running.

I have iPhone 15 Pro Max and took it off its charger about 7:30 this morning. It's now 10 PM and I've used my iPhone a lot today, including a couple hours streaming music, reading email, texting. I even watched some videos on Youtube and I have a remaining charge of 84%.

Figure out whats using your battery and then make appropriate changes as necessary.

I suppose it depends on how much time you are using the phone and what you are doing, which will use the battery and run it down faster. For some people who are heavy users, 12 hours may not be bad.

You might want to backup your iPhone to your computer using iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac), then restore the phone there, which will put a fresh copy of iOS on your iPhone and see if anything improves.

I have an iPhone 15 pro IOS 17.1 and my battery life is very good nothing to say about it. But it depends the way you use and set the iPhone. With many widgets, Always on display enabled, many apps in Background App Refresh, 5G on in patchy areas, location services always on for many apps…You can revise your settings and hard reset the phone

The battery life on my iPhone 15 Pro is amazing. I use my phone a lot and, with my iPhone 11 Pro (with a new battery) and charging it in the afternoon at work, I still ran out of charge most evenings, by 10pm. That's just when I want to wind down with a few games before going to bed. With the iPhone 15 Pro, I've had no problems. I end the day with 30-40% charge still left. I have AOD turned on and use at least half a dozen widgets.

The battery life on my iPhone 15 pro is terrible! My iPhone 11pro,even being 4 years old, latest longer than this one. Went to the apple store for assistance. They tested the battery and said whelp it charges to 100% so battery is performing as it should. If you want a new battery, you will have to buy it. Their solution was to to delete Google as a search engine and only use Safari. Tried that for 3 weeks but it is no better. The phone is less than 3 months old. So disappointed in Apple.

Took my phone off the charger @ 100% at approximately 11 am . It was at 6% when I put it on the charger at 9:38 pm. 36% of battery usage was the phone today. I was on the phone with Apple support a bunch today attempting to resolve my issues . 30% of battery usage was on messenger. Something is wrong with this phone.

Messenger is not an Apple product. It is a Meta (Facebook) app and often Facebook apps are power hogs. If 30% of the available charge was used by Messenger, that does not indicated something is wrong with the phone. It indicates something is messed up with Messenger. At a minimum, when you aren't using Messenger, Force Close it, by swiping up from the bottom of your iPhone screen HALFWAY, then hold for a second until you see all the recently used apps appear, which appear minimized in the middle of the screen as small tiles. Find the Messenger app and swipe up on the app, which will force close it. It can't use any energy if it is force closed. It shouldn't actually use any when not being used, but again, the app is a Meta app, not an Apple app and they may have some issue with their app.

My mistake. It was messages not messenger that consumed 30% of the battery yesterday. I mistyped it and that is my mistake. The green icon. Isn’t that an Apple supported messaging tool? I do not use messenger on my iPhone. So that you know, yesterday was a bit of an outlier with messages consuming so much battery. Usually it is Safari that is the biggest consumer of battery. Bottom line is from one day to the next my battery is next to dead in less than 12 hours, every single day since I have gotten it.
