Tesla and iPhone 15 Pro Max dropping Bluetooth connection

Over past 2-3 weeks noticed frequent dropping of Bluetooth connection between Tesla and IPhone. Get message frequently from app stating that Bluetooth needs to be turned on for app functionality. But Bluetooth is always on - iPhone 15Pro Max - iOS 17.1 and Tesla model 3 software 2023.32.9

Have tried obvious fixes like reboots and repairing

I have the same issue, Bluetooth phone calls and audio intermittently drop, and a significant delay in reconnect and transfer attempts back to Tesla Bluetooth. I have a 2018 Model S 100D SW 2023.27.7 and iPhone 13 Pro iOS 17.1.2. I paid Tesla Service to help try and diagnose, waste of time no trouble found. I am in the semiconductor business and thoroughly understand how this stuff works. I have tried reducing the number of apps that iOS has access to Bluetooth, but that did not help. I did all of the obvious attempts to forget, unpair, repair and power cycle both car and phone. I have tried multiple iPhones and see the same issue except not on iPhone 11. My son’s phone has less intermittent dropped calls when he connects his phone. I know this is a software issue, and am at my wits end.

I’ve had the same issue and went to the Apple Store. The guy at the Genius Bar told me that it was a known issue and that Apple engineers don’t know what the root cause of the issue is. Unfortunately there is nothing they can do for now, until they work it out. They can’t even replace the phone, because they believe it affects all the iPhone 15 pro variants.

I have this issue as well. Got a Model 3 in 2022 and had the 12 Pro Max. No issues with Bluetooth disconnecting whatsoever. In late 2023 I got the new 15 Pro Max and that’s when the issues started. I didn’t immediately connect that it was an issue with the phone but thought it was a problem with the M3 (my other devices seemed to connect fine with the phone). Many calls to Tesla that would fix it short term and then right back to disconnecting every few seconds or so.

FF to May 2024 - traded the M3 for a new Model Y. Glaringly obvious that it’s the phone and not the car - phone WILL NOT stay paired no matter what I do. Have to keep my phone key with me as I can’t even unlock the car door at times. Have had an IPhone for over a decade and am pretty sure I’m done. My husband’s Android worked/works flawlessly in both cars. What a joke to pay this much for a **** phone that’s little more than a brick.
