Photos slideshow, adding text

Want to add text to each slide in a Photos slideshow, not just the first one which has the title written on it.

It seems like I've done this in the past (perhaps in iPhotos?), but I can't see how to do it now in Photos. Photos overlaid with text? I made a multi-photo collage page in Pages and would like to overlay text (for a title page) on top of the photos. Is there a way to do this? Adding a text box doesn't work because it wants to fit into the pix puzzle instead of sitting on top. Is there another way? Thank you!

You can do it to each slide in the slideshow.
