HomePod Mini No Updating Play Counts Anymore

Since I updated the HomePod Mini to 17.1 it no longer updates Play Counters for the music I listen to. No problem with iPhone and iPad, they keep updating the counters, but HomePod mini is not doing it anymore. Also, AirPlay doesn't even work, and before the update it (sort of) worked.

I found this so much annoying, I like to keep track of the music I listen to, to know how many times I've listened to what, and now I have partial accounts.

I tried everything: reset HomePod,  reinstall the Music App, exit and re-enter iCloud, but nothing happens.

Does somebody else have the same problem? Any suggestion? Or do I have to hope some future updates will solve this?

Yes, and what’s more frustrating is that it updates my Listening History correctly: I see the stuff I listen to on my HomePods appear on my Listen Now but not on my chronology. It’s weird. It seems to play directly from Apple Music and not from my library.  Anyway, I tried to report the issue here:

I doubt it's any use but you never know
