iphone 15 pro max not ringing apple watch 9 not ringing

iPhone 15 Pro Max does not ring when on loud . Also my apple watch 9 does not ring also when in loud. This has been happening since receiving both devices on launch day.Both devices are updated .

Also at times , the 15 Pro max will ring only once abd then go silent without me being near the phone.My watch does not ring either.

Will appreciate any help to solve this as I miss most calls and notifications since upgrading.

Hello,

If you have a connected Apple watch, the phone will not ring or make sounds for alerts. Instead, everything will go to the watch. Therefore, check the watch volume and check for "silent" mode. See this:

thanks so much for replying, thats not whats happening… yup thats how it supposed to work… but my watch is on sound and loud… and does not ring …tried doing a hard reset… factory reset… nothing.. thanks again
