My M1 iMac is almost new, since May this year. It's wired. First problem was the space bar. From time to time it wasn't working. After a couple of weeks it died.
I assume it doesn't need to be charged if it's wired ?
Have anybody experienced the same problem ?

The following will require any USB keyboard and mouse. If you don’t have them, borrow or buy them, they are inexpensive!
1. Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to the computer.
2. Open System Preferences – Bluetooth
3. Un-pair the wireless keyboard and mouse.
4. Turn off Bluetooth
5. Restart the computer in Safe Mode per the directions in Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
6. Restart the computer normally.
7. Open System Preferences – Bluetooth
8. Turn on Bluetooth
9. Re-Pair the wireless keyboard and mouse.
10. Unplug the USB keyboard and mouse and begin testing the wireless devices again.

It's fine to leave Blue Tooth on while the keyboard is connected with the charging cable. You can connect other Blue Tooth devices such as Apple AirPods to your computer via Blue Tooth, you are not limited to just having a keyboard and mouse connected to it. Not all Blue Tooth devices will connect to the computer but many things will.

Question, should the BlueTooth be ON, while the keyboard connected by cable, or to turn it on once in a while ?
M1 keyboard stopped responding. dead.
