Optimized Battery Charge not working on iPhone 15 PRO

Hi All,

I've had the new iPhone 15 PRO for way over 2 weeks now but the optimized battery charge is just not working: phone reaches 100% and stays like that for hours until I unplug it in the morning (Coming from an iPhone XS where battery charge optimization was working just fine).

I have already tried to:

switch the option to "no optimization" or "limit 80%" and switch it back.
restart the device
checked all the localization services to be active
Updated to the most recent iOS 17.1

none of the above worked for me.

What's going on? is there something else I am missing or is this a software issue?

It may take some time for Optimized Charging to learn your regular charging routines:

When the feature is enabled, your iPhone will delay charging past 80% in certain situations. Your iPhone uses on-device machine learning to learn your daily charging routine so that Optimized Battery Charging activates only when your iPhone predicts it will be connected to a charger for an extended period of time. The algorithm aims to ensure that your iPhone is still fully charged when unplugged.
