Stop playing homepods in house showing up on all iphones (without disabling major features)
I have been trying to find a solution for what currently happens if you play music from a Homepod. The situation is described below.
- Music playing on homepod (any homepod in the house on wifi)
- As you walk close to the room, it automatically puts in the dynamic island and on the home screen/control center what is playing and controls
- The only way to remove it (temporarily) is to go to the control center and do the following:
- Long press on the music widget
- click control other speakers & tv
- choose this phone
I have tried the following with no success
- Disabled Transfer to HomePod
- Disabled Handoff
I have read many other forums and post and do not want to have this function disabled, or to fully disable control of homepods by phone, or to move them to another network. I just don't want music playing in my daughters room to constantly pop up on my phone in the dynamic island and home screen music widgets.
