Apple Podcasts Connect.

I have been trying to submit my new podcast to Apple and for some reason I have not been able to get passed the first screen. I seem to be in some weird loop where after I enter my Apple ID and password, it takes me to a screen to give my account a name and identify if I'm an individual or a company. Then I click the box to accept the terms and hit save. But then the next screen is back to the "get started" screen and when I click that button I just keep repeating this process over and over. I cannot get to the screen where you click the + button to add a new show. I've already set up the hosting with Libsyn so I can have the RSS feed. I've already ensured that I have a payment method connected to my Apple ID. I've tried four different browsers. I've cleared cookies and caches. I've rebooted my Mac laptop. I've tried on my Dell laptop. I've tried on my iPhone. I'm not sure what else to do. Please help.

This has been a problem for many people: indeed almost every post from people who are creating podcasts is about this rather than issue with their own podcast. As it's internal to Apple I can only offer the following standard advice, which may or may not help; probably it won't but there really isn't anything else I can suggest.

It's become apparent that you cannot log into Podcasts Connect with a Developer ID - see below. You must have a payment method registered in Apple Music/iTunes: make sure your computer is authorised to play purchases (Apple Music or iTunes menu Account>Authorisations>Authorise this Computer). Then try logging in at https://podcastsconnect.apple.com

For help with the process of creating a podcasting account please see Create Apple Podcasts Connect account - Apple Podcasts for Creators

If this fails I would suggest reporting it Podcasts Support: https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contact-us , though if you haven't been able to complete the submission you may not be able to access them: in which case the next step is to contact Apple Support: Support

Don't present this as a podcasting problem - they don't handle those and will refer you to Podcasts Support. Present the problem as being the inability to access Podcasts Support. It's also been suggested that getting them to look at your Apple ID may clear matters.

As to Developer IDs, Brian Ogilvie has discovered the hard way that you cannot use a Developer ID to sign into Podcasts Connect, and details the steps needed to create a new ID in this useful post.

Thanks so much Roger. I tried all your suggestions to no avail. However, I just kept trying to log in over and over again, going through the loop. Lo and behold, this morning I suddenly got in! So maybe the answer is, just wait a few days and try again. And if you don't get through, just keep waiting and trying again. As a side note, I have a friend who also has a podcast and she let me know that the same thing happened to her and after a few days she suddenly got in. It would be nice if Apple at least just put a "confirmation" message of sorts so people aren't thinking they're losing their minds, lol.

Thanks again for all your help, Roger.
