I bought a new 14 pro max, and my warranty says :expires on 18 july 2024. Today is the date 22.10.2023 This means the iphone is used or what? I didn’t buy it on apple or authorized reseller. Help me to understand this issue.

The seller is obviously not an Apple authorized dealer. The warranty started on the first day of initial purchase. In this case that would have been July 19, 2023.
This usually indicates that the device was not purchased from Apple or an authorized dealer. If this is the case you would need to ask them.
