I bought a new 14 pro max, and my warranty says :expires on 18 july 2024. Today is the date 22.10.2023

This means the iphone is used or what?

Well, that’s the source of the issue. See what remedy the retailer offers. Hopefully they have one. Consider returning the iPhone and purchasing it at an authorized place.

Where did you purchase this? At an Apple Store? From an Authorized Apple Retailer? Somewhere else?
