Embedded video plays perfectly in keynote recording playback but when I export the keynote recording to Movie the embedded videos become “stuck” and just flicker, while the audio keeps going. How do I fix this?
iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 13.6
I just checked it on my work computer which is running Monterey 12.6 and Keynote 13.1 and when I export the screen recording to movie then everything works perfectly! So definitely a software issue.

What exactly are you doing when you export the recording to Movie? Are you referring to iMovie? What is the origin of the recording? What exactly are you trying to accomplish with it?

I am building a webinar. I have recorded the keynote presentation with voice over and embedded videos. This then plays back perfectly in Keynote. Keynote has an option of Export to Movie. This creates a video file that can be viewed in QuickTime etc.
Having all of the same issues here when outputting a keynote movie with embedded .mp4 videos within on certain slides. The outputted movie for the slides that contain mp4 videos flickers on the first frame but plays the audio.
Im on MacOS 13.6.1 / Keynote 13.2
The resolution for this until this is patched (correct it is a software issue in regards to keynote) is to airdrop the keynote file to your phone with keynote on that then carry on with the export then airdrop back. Longwinded I know but until this is patched this should work.
