Apple Music not playing on Apple TV

I have an Apple Music subscription that works on other devices - but on Apple TV from one day to other I get a message that „Music“ is t available right now. When I use Siri and ask for an Album to be played, then it works. I tried restarting the Apple TV but that doesn’t help. Any advice appreciated.

Hi Chsta,


Restarting the Music app is a good first step to address problems you may encounter. Try this process from Switch quickly between Apple TV apps:


"1. On the Siri Remote, press the TV button twice quickly.

Windows representing each of the open apps appear in a row on the screen.


2. In app-switching view, navigate to a different app in the center of the screen, then... swipe up on the clickpad or touch surface."


You should also verify that your Apple TV is on the latest version of tvOS per Update Apple TV software and restart the entire Apple TV if this continues.
