Videos and messages getting deleted on my 14 plus

in my I messages some videos and some threads keep getting deleted without me deleting them. What can I do about this?

Settings > Messages > Message History. Make sure this is set to forever.

iMessage shows 22 GB consumed by Videos iMessage shows 22 GB consumed by Videos in iPhone Storage, yet no Videos show on the list in Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Messages > Videos. I have shared some high-quality videos over iMessage with some of the Contacts, so I am quite certain this estimate could actually be right - but why can't I delete those humongous iMessage Videos from storage? Why is the list blank? Has anyone ever had this issue? Thanks!
