Delete and backspace key not responding

if it was me then I would try to make a new user or login to a guest account

and if it was then same then I would attempt to pair it with another computer

from a relative/friend/public library or computer store

to verify that it was not just a hardware defect of the keyboard

That is wise. I am jumping to the conclusion that it’s an aged hardware problem.
