"Show features for web developers" grayed out in Safari Mac OS Sonoma 14.0

I'm trying to enable the "develop" menu bar in Safari for Mac OS Sonoma 14.0 but this option is grayed out and I can't seem to find a way to make it available to click.

Would someone have any idea as to why this is happening and how to make it available?

Thanks!

Hello ludke,

Do you currently have any kind of managed profile on your Mac, such as from a workplace or university? Those can prevent some settings from being enabled. Details about those can be found at: Use configuration profiles to standardize settings on Mac computers - Apple Support

Screen Time and restrictions can be another cause, which are explained at Use Screen Time on your Mac - Apple Support
