iPhone 15 Pro Max & MagSafe Charging

Just purchased the iPhone 15 pro max. Searching for a good quality case. As I’m on the go quite a lot, I also need to buy a wireless magsafe mount for my car. Question I need clarification on: do I need to buy a case with a magsafe ring attached? Or can I just buy a case without the MagSafe ring and will it mount through the case?
