Sonoma Update/iPad Recovery Mode with MacBook Pro Not Working

Since the Sonoma update, I am no longer able to use my MacBook Pro to restore and update iPads in recovery mode.


Is this a known issue or is there a new UI for this process?

The process for putting your device into recovery mode is accurately described in the article that you viewed prior to posting: If you can't update or restore your iPad - Apple Support


If it's not working when trying those steps, we'd advise to try a different cable and different port on your MacBook Pro to see if you have different results.
