Airpod Pro Location not updating

I recently lost my airpods. When I noticed they were gone I checked the Find my app and saw they were in a place I visited a few hours prior. The next time I checked the location they gave me a location from two weeks in the past and will no longer give newer updates. I have used my airpods everyday prior to losing them so why is the location so old? Is there anything else I could do to find my airpods?
