Music volume lowers automatically when I speak or sing along.

While listening to music via air buds, if I begin to sing along to talk to someone, my music volume automatically lowers. After I’ve finished, my conversation the volume returns to its set volume. It’s great for conversations, but when I working out and want to sing along, no do much! How do I stop this? During one of the updates, I was given the option to try this feature and read that I could revert the setting, but I don’t know how, please help.

Hey M2386D,

That's a great question! The feature you're asking about is part of the Adaptive Audio features called Conversation Awareness. Here's more details and steps to turn this off: Use Adaptive Audio with your AirPods Pro (2nd generation) - Apple Support

Conversation Awareness

When you start talking while you're wearing your AirPods Pro (2nd generation), Conversation Awareness seamlessly lowers your media volume and enhances voices in front of you. When your conversation ends, Conversation Awareness automatically turns up the volume and brings you back to your original noise control setting.

You can enable Conversation Awareness in Control Center and Settings on your iPhone or iPad. You can also end a conversation manually by pressing and holding on the AirPods stem or swiping up on the stem.

Be sure to check the section at the top titled "Use your iPhone or iPad to enable Adaptive Audio" too. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care!
