iOS 17 Photo Import

I’m trying to import videos using my apple usb c sd card adapter with my iPhone 15 pro and iPad Pro. Neither work. It sees the adapter and videos but freezes when trying to import. I have to use my Mac instead. I’m assuming it’s an iOS 17 problem. I just purchased the adapter for the iPhone 15.

Hey there tmain04,

Thanks for reaching out. If you're having trouble with the SD card and adapter, test to see if there are any issues when using another adapter and cable or if you can connect it to another device.

If you continue running into issues, try using the guidance in the link below to make sure everything is being connected properly:

Take care!

Thanks for the reply. I know the apple brand usb c sd card reader works because I can connect it to my mac mini and get my photos from the sd. I've tried the card reader on my iphone 15 pro and ipad pro. Both show pictures are there but there seems to be a processing error happening when attempting to import. The "busy wheel" shows like it's importing but no progress is shown and eventually freezes. I have to force close the app and unplug the reader. Some pictures/video transfer over (a few) but you can't get them all and the import function seems to not recognize any were previously imported. I've ordered some usb c to lightening adapters to see if my old lightening apple sd card readers work.
