i forgot my apple id password and so was able to reset/make a new one, but now i cant find my shared photos in my icloud using my new password.. do i need to get my old password back in order to get my shared albums

ok, so i went on icloud.com to see my pics.. the recent ones are, but NONE of my albums are showing up

I was in the process of getting ready to give my OLD phone to my granddaughter and i was deleting contacts from the old phone, but bc my apple id was connected to my NEW Iphone 14 pro max the contacts were deleting from my new phone. So I went to make sure to back up new phone, and getting ready to make her a new apple id in order to then reset the old phone for her.. HOWEVER, I went to sign out of my new phone and needed the password of which of course i couldnt remember so i reset it by making a new password,, is that why my albums arent showing up??
