I can not sign on my Mac and it never give me an option to reset passwordn

I have tried entering different passwords or the same one many time at some point it just locks me out for 1-10 minutes

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

If you forgot your Mac login password - Apple Support describes what to do, including options If you can't reset your Mac login password.

Follow all those steps all the way through to the end.
