Adding people to iphone group messages

My phone does not have "add Contact."

add contact to group text. my phone didn’t have the solution shown i have an iphone 12. i want to add someone to an already existing group chat. i looked up a solution at support.apple but my phone doesn’t have the solution that is shown.

I message I am not able to add a contact to a group conversation. This contact is in another group conversation I have going but I can’t add them to another. The message says that they are not registered with i message. They have an android phone but that didn’t stop me from adding them before. Help?

If anyone in the group has an Android phone, you cannot edit the group. You will need to create a new message group.

There is no "add Contact" button.

When you tap that gray arrow to the right of contacts, you may see a row that says “[number] People” also with a gray arrow on the right. Tap that arrow.
