Globe key lag needs to be controlled or removed

I want to use the Globe key to switch languages, but it's a pain currently due to lag.

Asking Apple to either remove the artificial delay or make it controllable in system preferences.

I can imagine there's a reason why the artificial lag was introduced in the first place, so people should be able to keep it if they find it valuable.

Keyboard language switch lag, a long standing issue that never gets fixed. The keyboard language switch button, whether it's a dedicated button or the classic cmd+space, lags unpredictably. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't work and takes four times for the input to go through. No, this is not a "Have you added language preference to your Language&Region settings issue. I obviously have. If this is a "It's because the shortkey has two different bind depending on whether u long press or short press" issue... Then there's nothing to be done about it anymore since in Ventura it doesn't let you customise your language switch keyboard shortcuts. But I've tried karabiner to get around this and the issue still persists no matter the configuration. I've used apple macs for decades and this has been a problem for every device, for every OS update. I'm pretty sure this is because non-romance language bilingual users are not a priority for Apple.

Can't change keyboard input language on Ventura I have English and French setup as my keyboard input languages (see image below). I have enabled the Language switching menu (see image below). Yet, the menu does not appear at the top right of my screen (see image below). I have also enabled the ^-spacebar shortcut for switching languages (see image below), but pressing that key combination doesn't change the input language. As a result, I have no quick way of switching language. I have to go into System Settings > Keyboard > Language every time, and it's annoying because I often change from one language to the other. Anuy help would be appreciated, thgx.
