What is the blue "up" arrow that keeps appearing on my MacBook Air?
How do I disable this arrow?
What is this arrow?

That is a symbol that indicates that caps lock is on. It is new in Sonoma and I don't know of a way to disable it (other than turning caps lock off from the keyboard).

You're pressing the caps lock.
Is it possible to disable the arrow. It is interfering with my shortcuts on my cad programme causing it to crash. It is super annoying.
Please disable this arrow. Is it helping solve edge cases? Most users know when our capslock is on or have reasonable coping strategies.

No one participating here can disable this arrow. You can let Apple know what you'd like to see here:
How do you know that "most users" know when their caps look is on? If I Iook down at the keyboard when I'm typing, the caps lock key is hidden by my hand. I find this new function quite helpful.
If you do a search for other threads on the topic, you may be able to find the one were people have given the terminal commands to turn it off.
