what to do when lost airpod case with one airpod in it but the other in my ear

We recommend following the steps in the following support article to use Find My for your lost AirPods: Find your lost AirPods with Find My - Apple Support

If you're unable to find them using those steps, you can mark them as lost:

1. "In Find My, choose your AirPods and swipe up.
2. Under Mark as Lost, tap Activate.
3. Follow the onscreen steps to display your contact information to someone who finds your AirPods.
4. Select Activate."

I think I have first generation iPods and I lost the case and one Earbud Is that what shows on my find my device on my phone or the one earbud that I have in my ear?? If it is the one I have with me how do I find the case with the other ear bud
