Where is the "Remove Download" option on Sonoma?

It looks like the “Remove Download” option in iCloud is not available with Sonoma anymore.

Can anyone elaborate on this?

I have heard that this has something to do with the "Optimise Mac Storage" function but I am still unclear.

Since upgrading to macOS Sonoma, I noticed that on none of my Macs the option to indicate for certain iCloud Drive subfolders to "Remove this download" is no longer showing. As a result, now all of those folders are synced to my local internal drive, which creates storage space issues (I have a 2TB iCloud plan, but none of my Macs have enough internal drive space to contain all of the data on my iCloud drive). Has this possibility been quietly removed by Apple (haven't heard anything about that anywhere) or has Apple changed a setting in my OS during the upgrade that they shouldn't have (and if so which?)? Thanks for any feedback

High Sierra, remove download not an option I am currently running High Sierra 10.13.6 on this mid-2010 MacBook Pro, and I noticed that "remove download" is not an option on the iCloud files, only a trash option. Please advise on why Apple does not support the remove download feature. Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks! Cole

Cancelling an upload to iCloud Hi guys, Can anyone here point me in the right direction with my query please? I have been attempting to upload c. 500GB of files to my iCloud Drive. Yes I know that’s a heck of a dump but the reason for it is that I’ve upgraded my 2012 Mac Mini to an M1 and the transfer app doesn’t work because it has only a 256 SSD. So I’ve 1TB of iCloud space to use. I started the upload 24 hours ago and it’s only just managed 5GB so far. I’ve full fibre broadband with upload speeds of c. 50Mbps. The connection is solid, there are no network outages and I achieve those upload speeds on other WiFi devices connected so I know it’s not a router or ISP problem. So I dug out an old hard disk and decided to use that to transfer the files from old to new. The problem is that I can’t stop the iCloud upload and it’s massively slowing down the machine and hence the transfer to the old hard drive is simply staggering and only drips and drabs coming across. Has anyone any idea how to cancel the upload to iCloud. The “x” on the transfer window does nothing. Unchecking the Desktop and Documents option in Preferences does nothing either because these are all files located in separate folders on the Mini’s hard drive. Any good ideas? Ta. Shaun

It shows up when clicking the option key. But it does not remove the download... All my iCloud drive got downloaded and I cannot remove it again!!!
