Hello Dp2023,

We'd like to provide you with a few steps that may be able to help restore your emojis:

Restart your iPhone. This may seem like a simple step to take but can often resolve several issues.

  1. "Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device..

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo."

• Be sure you're running the latest version of iOS 17. Completing this step ensures that your device has the latest fixes. (Secure your data with a backup): Update your iPhone or iPad

If the issue persists, we suggest that you reach out to Apple. They will be able to look further into this with you:

Ever get the feeling Apple really doesn't want to hear from you, after their 12 step log in process, it seems pretty clear. And nope, the update wiped out all my personal emoji's. Why Apple feels the need to "Update" everything constantly is beyond me. The book reader worked great! Then they had to replace it with a badly broken one and let the public be their test bed.
