MacBook can no longer find Time Machine backup disk
I have two M2 MacBook Air's, MBA1 and MBA2 below, one of which is having Time Machine trouble.
MBA1
MBA1 was running Ventura 13.6. This morning I upgraded it to Sonoma. Time Machine backups on MBA1 were working as expected before the upgrade and are still working as expected after the upgrade. All good.
MBA2
MBA2 is running Ventura 13.6, can no longer find its Time Machine backup, and was last successfully backed up 10 days ago. I restarted MBA2 and restarted my NAS (Synology), but no change in behaviour. It says it is trying to connect but never proceeds past this point.
I am able to view/access MBA2's backup ("admin's MacBook Air" below) in Finder from MBA2. If I try to add a new backup I get "No Available Time Machine Destinations".
I do appear to be able to browse the Time Machine backups from MBA2, but I have not tried restoring anything.
At this point I think I will take my chances and upgrade MBA2 to Sonoma without a more recent backup but I would certainly appreciate any suggestions the community may have re: why this is happening and / or how to fix it.
