Has anyone been successful connecting Oticon OPN S1 hearing aids (MFI) to a MacMini Pro after installing Sonoma?

I've been having this same problem. MacBook Pro with M1Pro chip, it should work. Can't find any information about why it's not working either, and have also followed the instructions just like you did. I have a pair of Oticon OPN 1.

I have a Mac mini M2 and my experience is the same. Searching for available devices, doesn't find any.

I have Oticon Opn S 1 miniRTE hearing aids, firmware 8.0.

Is there a published list of which hearing aids are compatible with the Sonoma "pair to Mac" feature, or is it all the MFi hearing aids?

At the bottom of that list on Apple Support is exactly what you said:

"MFi hearing devices with an asterisk (*) in the list above use bidirectional streaming, which enables you to talk hands-free, as well as use the device with a Mac. Bidirectional streaming requires a more recent Apple device and operating system."

So I'm out of luck. Planning to get new hearing aids in 2024 anyway so will keep this in mind.

I am in the same boat, really disappointed as I was really hoping to have the same seamless connectivity experience on the Mac as I do with the iPhone. I really hope Apple considers expanding the capability to non-bidirectional streaming hearing aids.

Have Opn  S1 miniRITE R hearing aids. Will not connect. Very flustering.
