M1 Macbook Pro 14" Not Charging Properly

I have a M1 Macbook Pro 14". Lately when it is charging via it's USB-C ports it alternates between charging and not charging. I left it to charge overnight starting at 66% and woke up to it at 70% after a whole night of hearing the charging sound come on intermittently (ie it stopped charging and started up again). When it charges via MagSafe this doesn't happen and it behaves normally. This happens with all the USB-C ports on it. Moreover, the cable and wire are fine because my iPad does not have any of these issues and charges normally.

If your Mac is not charging as expected only when using USB-C, the recommendations outlined here can help resolve this issue: If your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac laptop

Optimized Battery Charging may also be responsible for this behavior. You can learn more about this and how to pause or turn this off using this: If battery charging is paused or on hold on your Mac
