Findmy app crashes as soon as I share an Airtag and someone accepts the share.

Just upgraded to IOS 17 including the latest update 17.0.1.

Added my first AirTag and shared it with my wife.

Now when I open Find My app and click on the items tab, the app immediately crashes and exits out. All the other tabs in Find My work fine.

AirTag crashes FindMy app AirTag crashes Find My app when I select it to view. Totally locks up the app. I’ve completely reset the AirTag, removed and reinstalled the FindMy App several times. FindMy sees the AirTag as an ‘item’ and shows the correct location. But as soon as I tap the AirTag, the app freezes. I have to swipe the app to close it, it totally crashes. I can select my iPhones and iPads, tap and view each one. View Devices and People with no problem. And return to the app with no problem. When I select ‘Items’, it correctly shows my AirTag and it’s location. I can back out of ‘Items’ and use the app as long I don’t select my AirTag. But if I tap my AirTag, BOOM. Instantly locks up the FindMy app. Any idea what causes this problem? iPhone 11 IOS 16.1.2

Since IOS 18, Find my Friends crashes my phone Hi! Ever since I updated to IOS 18 on my iPhone 13 about two weeks ago, the "Find My Friends" application has been super laggy and crashes every time I open it. It will open and spend 1-3 seconds trying to load locations, then the screen turns black before the app crashes and takes me back to my home screen. Then, the home screen is really laggy and doesn't respond for maybe 5-10 seconds. It basically renders it unusable, which is really annoying. I've tried restarting my phone, installing IOS 18.01, and reinstalling the Find My Friends app. What could the issue be? Is there any way I can fix it?

Yes, same happens to me. Both on my phone(iPhone 14 Pro) and my iPad (most recent 11” Pro). I’ve also just updated to 17.0.2. Still does it.

If I try find the item on my watch app it finds the item with no issue or crash.

@Apple support please help.
