I dont have admin user in my M2 Macbook Pro with MacOS 13 Ventura

I have just setup my M2 Macbook Pro with MacOS 13 Ventura, but I just realized that my user is just a standard user. Whenever I tried to add a new account, it asked for admin user which is not there yet. I also tried to go to recovery mode, but it asked for macOS Recovery Key which I don’t have.

Is there anything else can be done about it?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.5

Speak to the Company IT department about this issue

They may have enrolled the Computer Serial Number into a Mobile Digital Service

In which case They Control the computer and what type of accounts can be used on this machine

Is this by chance a used machine?

When you first start up a new Mac, the setup routine will have you create a user name and password. By default that user is an Admin user unless you changed that. I'm not even sure you can do that.

But if you bought a Mac that did not start up to a setup screen, it's used and the previous owner, or seller, did not properly prepared it for resale.
