I am unable to pair my new series 9 Apple Watch with my iPhone 11. I have tried both manually and using the digital scan but it shows “iPhone out of date” however I have installed the latest IOS…
Any ideas?
At this rate I’ll be buying a new phone in order to use my new watch ☹️
Check Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone.
Perhaps you chose to update to the latest iOS 16 version. That is not acceptable.
Apple Watch 9 requires at least iOS 17.

my series 9 apple watch wont pair with my iphone 14 pro max.
I get a message saying my iphome is out of date but it's running IOS 16.7
I've tried switching both off and on agai but the message recurrs

Just seen previous reply and will try it on IOS17
Its only letting me request ios 17 update but it doesn’t start the install. Unclear if there is a waitlist of somesort and how long it will take.
