Unable to pair new series 9 Apple Watch

I am unable to pair my new series 9 Apple Watch with my iPhone 11. I have tried both manually and using the digital scan but it shows “iPhone out of date” however I have installed the latest IOS…


Any ideas?


At this rate I’ll be buying a new phone in order to use my new watch ☹️

Check Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone.


Perhaps you chose to update to the latest iOS 16 version. That is not acceptable.


Apple Watch 9 requires at least iOS 17.
