Unable to edit a single occurence of a recurring event in iphone calendar after ios 17 update

When editing a repeating event in the calendar on my iPhone 14 Pro, I used to get an option to only change that one occurrence or all future occurrences. After iOS 17 upgrade, I no longer get that option and not able to save a change to just one occurrence.

I have the same problem but only started noticing it more recently. Any updates on how to fix it? Or a workaround that you found?

I just figured out that I only get this problem if I try to edit a repeating event that is scheduled as an All-Day event and change it to a specific time on a different day. I ended up keeping it as an All-Day calendar event and changing it to the day I wanted (which allowed me to only change that occurrence and not all future events). But now it doesn't even show me the option for that occurrence to deselect "All-day" when I go to edit that occurrence.

I’ve had the problem forever with repeating events in calendar. Some of my repeating events when I edit I get the options “this event only” along with “all future events” to choose from then others when editing events I get only “save for future events” or “ delete”.

I can’t figure out if it’s how I originally set it up or because I set them up with different iOS versions.
