Carplay Voice Control Not Working on iPhone 15

I just bought the iPhone 15 Pro and I bought a usb-c to usb-a adapter for my CarPlay system. The music player and message announcement system as well as navigation work just fine, but my Siri/Voice Control function doesn’t work. I made sure I had Siri and Voice Control turned on, but the voice button doesn’t seem to reciprocate a response; neither does activating Siri from the phone itself. It doesn’t even pick up my voice when I try to reply to an incoming message.

Hi yespatrick_,

We would love to help see if we can get the issue resolved for you. First, we recommend navigating to Settings > General > Software Update, then making sure you've installed the latest iOS 17 update. If you're updated to the latest version, please follow the steps below.

"If you can't hear Siri

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Siri & Search.
  3. Tap Siri Responses.
  4. Tap Prefer Spoken Responses to hear Siri speak responses, even when Silent mode is turned on."
