Just upgraded from the 12 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max but I’m not planning to sell my 12. I want to just use it at home as another camera or for a recipe book without getting text messages or having it receive notifications from apps before my 15. Is that possible?

It is not possible when using the same Apple ID, as your messages and calls can come through on the old iPhone using the same Apple ID. If you want to use the old iPhone for only browsing I suggest that you use it without an Apple ID paired to it.

Thank you. I think that’s what I’m going to have to do. Wanted to use it off and on but my watch hasn’t synced to my new phone for whatever reason.
It is fairly easy to disable. You just have to go to the settings, messages and deselect the phone number and email address on your old phone so it does not get the messages or phone calls.
