I'm trying to install Final Cut Pro free trial on my macOS 12.7 but it says that 13.4 or later is required, although it clearly mentions on the min requirements on apple page that 12.6 or later is fine!

I downloaded the Free Trial for test purposes and can confirm it did not work on my Monterey iMac any more than the regular version until I upgraded to Ventura yesterday.
I can also confirm that it is exactly the same as the normal FCP with nothing disabled.
The recently released version 10.6.9 requires Ventura or the coming Sonoma. 10.6.8 worked in Monterey. I suppose that the information on the page may not have been updated correctly.

Problem is that I’m not able to upgrade to Ventura or any later version for that matter.
Apple only provides the current version for trial.
It may sound a daft question but do you need Final Cut Pro?
iMovie can do everything many amateur editors require and the free version of DaVinci Resolve can arguably do even more than Final Cut Pro.
