apple watch battery draining too fast

after updating to ios 10 last evening, this morning the watch went from 100% to 16% very fast. I have unpaired the watch, reset it, turned off all that is not needed and attempted to recharge. The recharging seems slow and looking for any suggestions.

Re-pair and setup the watch again, then be a little more patient even if you have to leave the watch on the charger for a day or so. We know that there are many background (invisible) tasks in the period immediately after a new setup or updating software, and these cause extra battery load. Most users find battery performance is back to normal after a day, sometimes 2 days.

I updated my SE 1 to Watch OS 10 on Tuesday morning. The battery drain is still a massive problem - lasting less than three hours with a full charge. I updated to 10.0.1 last night in hopes that the bug would be fixed and today my watch drained in 2 hours. This was with me simply wearing it - not checking any complications or interacting with the watch other than to check the time. on Watch OS9 I was able to get 14 hour from a charge. Now I can literally watch the battery life quickly count down.

This is still going on with 10.2 update. (watch SE version1 ) Installed it several days ago, and at 3 pm I have less than 30% battery life. Yesterday the battery was almost dead and it was barely 8pm. This is not good. If I travel, I need to rely on the watch ALL day long. What gives, apple? How is this to be fixed??
