My daughter and I share our location with each other and since we have upgraded to the new ios17 when looking at location it is "set" to "Now". How do I change that to be "live" like it was before the update? We have the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Same here. All of the phones in the house with iOS16 work fine and see all other family phones in Live mode normally. Since updating to iOS17 on my 12 Pro Max, live was very erratic and now that I am upgraded to the 15 Pro Max, I am not getting live views. Also…accessing Live via messages does not let you refresh and no longer lets you use satellite view. What a frustrating and avoidable mess!!

I came here looking for this exact problem. Just bought the iPhone 15 pro and was so excited but I see that there's no more live view or satellite view. We use this often to keep watch on loved ones. This is one of a couple new issues with ios17 and now I'm considering returning this iphone 15 and just staying with my iphone 12 and just not updating. Great way to ruin something that so many families found to be helpful. I hope they will put this back! I'm going to tell everyone to not update to ios17.
The sharing map itself has lost the view options. No hybrid map view or way to change it.
