When I uploaded IOS 17, I lost my imessage app bar and it went to a drawer. Is there a way to go back to the imessage app bar?

When I downloaded IOS 17 the imessage app bar was replaced by a drawer (+). Is there a way I can go back to the imessage app bar?

iMessage bug - no back button iPad Mini 6 running iOS 16.5. In iMessage - when you are in an individual conversation, the message space takes up the whole screen and there is no back button or arrow to return to your other conversations on the left hand side. You are forced to kill the messages app and restart the app. Then and only can can you once again view the full list of iMessage conversations.

iMessage icon disappeared from bottom of iPhone home screen iMessage app icon disappeared from bottom of iPhone Home Screen. I used to have 4 icons there: safari, phone, iMessage & music library. The app is still loaded on my phone. I am opening it by going to App Store & clicking open. How do I reload iMessage app icon back to screen preferably back to bottom of Home Screen. Thanks for the help.

No, you cannot revert to the previous version. You can let Apple know your thoughts on the matter here:

As iOS 17 may not have been added to the drop down menu yet, be sure to include that information in the text box.
