iOS 17 Standby mode missing Photo screen

Hello,

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and upgraded to iOS 17 yesterday. Looking online the new Standby mode should have three screens, Widgets, Photos and Clock. However on my phone I only have Widgets and Clock when in Standby mode.

I can't see anything obvious in the settings for Standby to switch the Photos screen on, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to get this to appear?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities jarmat,

If we understand your post correctly, you'd like photos to appear when you're using StandBy. We’d like to help.

You can select the display you'd like to use with these steps:

Start StandBy
1. Connect iPhone to a charger and set it down on its side, keeping it stationary.
2. Press the side button.
3. You can swipe left or right to switch between widgets, photos, and clocks. Swipe up or down to scroll between options for each of these views.

Thank you for your reply.

The issue I was having was when I was in standby mode and swiped left or right I only saw the time and widget displays. The photo display never appeared.

However, this morning I upgraded to 17.0.1 and now I do see the photo display in standby mode.

So I think either that update fixed the issue or restarting the phone during the update did. (I had restarted previously which didn’t help, but maybe this time it did).

This issue is resolved now though.

Hello! I'm having a similar issue as mentioned in this original post. I have an Iphone 14 Pro, and updated to 17.1 last night. My former issues with standby seemed to have been resolved. However this morning, the widgets have completely disappeared from my standby. I only get photos (which I didn't have before) or clock (also didn't have before.) When I began my day, standby was working as it always had. I went to pick up the phone from standby mode for the 4th or 5th time today, and that's when it all got messed up. Now I can't see my widgets, which I had been relying on. Especially at night! Any suggestions on getting them back? I have rebooted with no effect.
