while I love standby mode in horizontal position of the phone, I have 3 induction chargers which only allow the phone in vertical position and replacing the charges is a big mess. So, I would like to see if the stand by mode can be enabled in the vertical position as well?
No, it can’t. It requires landscape positioning.
Apple doesn’t “need” to do anything.

This is crazy!! Both me and my girlfriend both have charging stands that only hold the phone vertically! Apple NEEDS so enable tte phone to use standby features when the the phone is standing/charging upright (vertical)… Am i alone in this query or what?!

Then perhaps you need to complain to the company that made the charging stand that only operates in the vertical position. Seems like an issue on their part, not Apples.
They'll do it if enough user feedback comes in.
