Here's what you can do:

  1. Reach out to the company or service through which you were trying to place the express device replacement claim. Explain the situation and inquire about the overcharge. They should have a customer support team that can assist you with this issue.
  2. Carefully review your bank statements to ensure that the charges are indeed pending and not completed transactions. Sometimes, pending charges may take a few days to clear.
  3. Keep a record of all correspondence with the company, including dates, times, and names of customer service representatives you spoke to. This documentation will be valuable if you need to dispute the charges.
  4. If you're unable to resolve the issue with the company directly or if the charges do not disappear after a few days, contact your bank. Inform them about the situation, and they may be able to assist you in placing a hold on the pending charges or initiate a dispute process.
  5. If necessary, you can dispute the charges with your bank or credit card issuer.
