Moving music to iPhone without computer?

A year ago I got rid of my laptop. I use an iPad Pro, iCloud, and my iPhone, and they do 99% of what I need to do.

This morning I came across an old external hard drive. I remember burning a lot of songs to it years ago--I've since gotten rid of the CD's, and I'm sure some of them are not already in my iTunes library.

is there a way to upload the songs off the external hard drive onto the iPhone? I've got a USB hub to the iPad so the files should be detectable, I just don't know what to do with them, or how to move them to the phone.

I realize this is a situation where having a "real" computer would be a lot simpler, but I'm curious if anyone knows a way

You may be able to copy the songs from the drive into the Files App on the iPhone, but you won't be able to add them to the Apple Music App however, for that you need a computer.

Open the Files App, look for the external drive in the Browse tab under Locations. Tap and hold on the file you want to copy, tap Copy from the menu, tap Browse at the bottom of the scren and then navigate to a location "On My iPhone". Tap and hold on a blank area and then press paste to copy the file.
