Apple watch downloaded music from spotify wont play without wifi connection

Hey,

I downloaded music in the App and that works perfectly fine without being connected to my phone but still being connected to wifi. Without a connection to wifi the app „glitches“ and no music is played. The watch is connected to a bluetooth device and I‘ve updated my watch the app and my headphones but it simply doesn’t work without a wifi connection. Shouldnt the whole being able to download music onto the watch thing work without a wifi connection?

i have an apple watch series 3 and the newest software update. I‘ve tried different bluetooth headphones (none from apple) and not one worked

is this an apple watch problem, a not having the newest watch problem, a not having apple headphones problem or a spotify problem?

please just HELP! I wanna be able to use the watch for running and listen to music during it WITHOUT a phone and no wifi connection
