AirPods Pro don't work in virtual meetings

My AirPods Pro won't work during virtual meetings (Zoom, Google Meetings, MS Teams...). The AirPods are connected to the computer, and they are selected as the input/output device in the Sound Settings/Volume Mixer, and as the selected devices for the specific meetings. It should be noted that they just went out mid-meeting last week and haven't worked in the meetings since then. Other bluetooth headphones I have, have worked for those meetings. I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting the AirPods and resetting them multiple times, as well as other things I've come across online such as checking the bluetooth drive, or doing any Windows Updates. Nothing fixes it.

While this may be a bit old. I wanted to reply with my similar experience. I was also unable to use my AirPods during Zoom, Teams, 8x8, and any other PC meeting or soft-phone applications. However, I had no trouble using them to watch movies or listen to music. I was certain this had worked for me at least once and happened on a temporary fix by accident. I found that if my cell phone was within range it usurped the communications role of the AirPods and I was unable to use them in a PC meeting or soft-phone application. To test, I switched my Bluetooth off on my cell phone or had my cell phone forget the pairing and was again able to attend meetings or use my PC soft-phone. I would prefer a more permanent solution permitting full functionality but it gives me options.
