Called support and talked to 3 agents in 2 departments and their sullotion was “delete pictures” 😐🙄 tried deleting the apps and reinstalling them, tried turning phone off and on (duh), even reset my network setting for whatever reason, so in the end I still can’t work and problem persists. Updating iOS on your iPhone should typically not alter the fundamental functionality of the device. It's possible that there were underlying issues before this update, which you might not have been aware of previously or might not have noticed.

In general, iOS updates are designed to enhance the user experience, improve security, and fix bugs, rather than introducing major disruptions to core features. The reported issue of the screen flickering and displaying a white screen after an update is likely caused by factors that are not explicitly mentioned in your post.

iOS updates primarily focus on improving system performance, introducing new features, fixing bugs, and enhancing security. They are designed to preserve your personal data, settings, and information intact.

During an iOS update, your device's operating system is upgraded, but your personal data, such as contacts, photos, messages, and other information, should remain unchanged. However, it's always a good practice to perform a backup of your device before any major update to ensure that your data is safely stored.

It's important to note that while an iOS update itself should not alter personal details, it's possible that certain features or settings may be adjusted or improved with the update. In such cases, you may need to review and adjust specific settings to match your preferences after the update.

Always make sure to read and understand the update details provided by Apple before proceeding with an iOS update, and follow best practices such as backing up your device to minimize any potential risks or complications.

If the issues you mentioned are indeed caused by iOS, it's likely that numerous users who have upgraded to iOS 16.6.1 are experiencing similar problems. However, in order for the community on this forum to provide helpful responses, it would be beneficial for you to specify the nature of the issue you are encountering. Without this information, it may be difficult for others to address your concern effectively.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

Ok…I never said my phone was flickering or giving a white screen after the update. The problem I’m having is that when I open either of the following apps:

LePrinter

Design Space

whatnot

One Shop

Facebook messenger ..:

once in any of those apps, anything I try to click or do in the app, force closes the apps and kicks me out to the main home page of my phone. Yesterday at 1pm I was using 3 of those apps without a problem and then I did the update around 4pm and when it was done, I tried 2 of them and they did as I described so I called support for those 2 and they couldn’t help, said it must be apple. When I spoke to apple today they had me reset and re download and restart everything but the apps I listed still kick me out if I try to do anything in them.

The two apps I’ve had problems with since updating to 16.6.1 are

Moneydance V 2.35 - The app will get stuck syncing and then crash. When I relaunch the sync works after that until it happens again.

Google Maps V 6.85.0 - This actually started with the prior version of G Maps. When I launch it from CarPlay the G Maps screen is blank with just the Search button showing at the top. If I try to enter a destination and start navigation I will get a message that it can’t find directions to that location, even if I select Home. If I manually launch G Maps on the phone it will work fine on CarPlay unless I close the app on the phone and launch it from CarPlay. I tried the trick of unplugging the USB cable between the phone and the car and plugging it back in but it didn’t work. Every few times the maps would start to draw then the screen would go blank. This happens in both of my cars.
