I get no sound using Xpand2 in logic pro

I opened Xpand 2 by AIR on an instrument track BUT I get no sound.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

I get no sound using Xpand2 in logic pro OS Monterey 12.6.2. i just purchased Xpand2 last night. Everything else like Alchemy or Ultrabeat, etc. plays midi keyboard or a midi region. Has anyone experienced this?
